Debra S. Babb-Nutcher is a partner with Brown, Garganese, Weiss & D'Agresta, P.A. She is board certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in city, county and local government law. She has extensive civil litigation experience which spans a variety of issues. She primarily litigates cases on behalf of the firm's municipal clients, school boards, and The Home Depot.
She is the recipient of the highest rating (AV) given by Martindale-Hubbell for legal ability and ethics. Her areas of practice include: eminent domain, land use, premises liability, First Amendment, civil rights, employment law, code enforcement, evictions, and foreclosures.
Ms. Nutcher has spoken at many seminars regarding employment law, eminent domain, code enforcement and civil citations, and quasi-judicial proceedings. She was interviewed by ABC News Tonight as a consultant regarding eminent domain issues, which aired on July 18, 2004.
Ms. Nutcher is admitted to practice in Florida state and federal courts, and is also admitted to practice (inactive) in Washington State. She earned her law degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where she served on the Moot Court Board and won first place in her school's moot court competition in oral advocacy and best brief. She received her undergraduate degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, with a major in Speech Communication and a minor in English.
