Jocelyn Dopson-Rodriguez is an Associate Attorney with Garganese, Weiss, D’Agresta & Salzman, P.A. She has a diverse litigation background that includes, first-party property insurance claims, insurance coverage issues, insurance defense and criminal defense.

Originally, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jocelyn was raised in Kissimmee, Florida and went on to graduate from the University of Central Florida, with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies and a minor in Criminal Justice. She then went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the Florida A&M University College of Law in Orlando, Florida. Jocelyn served as a Student Ambassador and served on several executive boards for other student organizations. While in law school, she also served as a summer judicial law clerk at the U.S District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and as an intern with the Ninth Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office and Guardian Ad Litem Program.

Prior to joining Garganese, Weiss, D’Agresta & Salzman, P.A., Jocelyn was an Assistant Public Defender for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Tampa, Florida, wherein she handled hundreds of criminal cases and tried numerous jury and non-jury trials to verdict. She then transitioned into civil litigation, specializing in insurance defense and first-party property claims.

Jocelyn is admitted to practice law in all Florida State courts and the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida.
