Mark L. Van Valkenburgh became of Counsel to Garganese, Weiss, D’Agresta & Salzman, P.A. after seventeen years managing his own practice. He practices almost exclusively in the area of employment law, providing proactive and preventative counseling to private and public employers of all sizes and litigating in the state and federal courts of Florida. He has obtained jury verdicts for plaintiff and defendant clients in state and federal court. Mark is the recipient of the highest rating (AV) given by Martindale-Hubbell for legal ability and ethics.

In addition to his work in employment law, Mark is a Florida Supreme Court Circuit Civil Certified Mediator and is also approved to mediate cases in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He has also taught as an adjunct faculty member with the Barry University School of Law for the last fifteen years.

Mark is the fourth generation of his family to live in Central Florida and enjoys giving back to the community. He currently serves as a member of the Winter Park Code Enforcement Board, an Advisory Board Member with Army of Angels, a volunteer mediator with the Orange County Bar Association’s Legal Aid Society, and in a number of roles with his church. Mark has been happily married for 32 years and has three children.
