Senior Attorney

Michelle Rocafort is a Senior Attorney with Garganese, Weiss, D’Agresta & Salzman, P.A. She focuses her practice in the areas of Civil Litigation and Association Law. Ms. Rocafort has past experience in consumer law defense, Creditor’s rights, real estate, and Chapters 7 and 13 representation. Ms. Rocafort has also had the privilege of working as a certified domestic violence advocate primarily acting as a liaison between the Florida Department of Children and Families and the domestic violence shelter. She provided legal advocacy, as well as, support advocacy for domestic violence victims during injunction hearings, mediations, and dependency court hearings.

Ms. Rocafort graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and earned her law degree from Wayne State University School of Law located in Detroit, Michigan. During her time at Wayne State University Law School, Ms. Rocafort was active in OUTlaws, an on campus organization that strives to create a safe environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) students, as well as, to bring LGBT issues to the attention of students and faculty. As President of OUTlaws Ms. Rocafort oversaw the organization’s advocacy and social programming, education, and collaboration.

Ms. Rocafort’s diverse experience shows through her ability to analyze each client’s specific situation and find practical approaches to resolve their individual legal issues. Throughout her career, she has earned the respect of her clients as well as the respect of other legal professionals with whom she interacts on a daily basis due to commitment to advocate for her clients.
